On December 4, 2021, the so-called “Zero meeting” of the Czech Oculoplastic Society took place. The lectures were devoted to the issue of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, and during the debate, proposals of the specific content of the company’s mission were discussed. The society´s main goal is, in particular, to improve the quality of oculoplastic care in the ophthalmological community.
The society also seeks to help less experienced ophthalmologists and, at the same time, further develop skilled experts in the field of oculoplastic care, promote high quality specialized medicine and become a recognized society.
The primary areas of interest include the eyelids and the conjunctival sac, tear ducts, orbits, endocrine orbitopathy and aesthetic and corrective surgery in the mentioned areas. In the future, we will also strive to become guarantors for increasing the professional level of selected specialists.
